Choosing to elope in the Shawnee National Forest = Choosing Peace. So many couples are deciding that they do not want the stress of a normal large wedding. They are deciding to focus solely on their relationship and sometimes their immediate family & closest friends. No stress, no pressure, just the love they share and want to celebrate. We have so many couples that have been reaching out and saying these very things as to why they are choosing to elope in the Shawnee. For many they grew up here and some they spent many dates hiking here with their partner. Others simply want to run away and enjoy the scenery for the first time but don’t want to leave the midwest. We are just a quick drive to many cities so it makes the perfect location to feel like you’ve really gotten away. This local couple chose peace and I am so glad they asked me to join them.
